I was inspired to make this pillow cover after reading a book all about love and old romance!

I used new black and cream stripe pillow ticking and appliqued a hand cut heart out of vintage floral fabric and I scrolled embroidered hearts around the edge. I fully line my pillows for extra support and put a zipper in the bottom for you to insert a pillow form.

This pillow cover is 16″ x 16″ – it is the cover ONLY. You can purchase an insert at any craft or fabric store, Walmart or feel free to use one of your own pillows of a common size. It is best to use one 2″ larger so an 18″x 18″ is perfect.

Here is a little tip …. purchase a separate bag of polyfil and if need be, stuff some in the upper corners to bulk up the pillow!!

Your pillow will look very much like this one, the design in the heart may vary, but it will still be as adorable!! The heart is only on the front of the pillow cover the back is just the stripe ticking.
