If you prefer to have your valance lined, I use Professional Roc Lon Sonata Sateen lining fabric. NOT cotton muslin.

*WHY CHOOSE LINING – lining helps to protect the fabric from fading and extends the life of the curtain or valance from the sun’s hot rays – it also adds body and lets you see the beautiful colors without being washed out by the light shining through. It also hides the side seams as well as the hem stitch lines.

Fabric Samples

I know that what looks like one color on one computer screen looks different on another so I am happy to provide at no charge a small sample of fabric for you to see the color. If you need one larger than what will fit in a business size envelope, please contact me to order a larger size for a small cost.

When can I expect my order

I am usually able to get my orders out within 2 weeks. If I have to special order fabric, it may take longer and I will let you know that right up front. If there is an unforeseen problem, I will let you know ASAP.

Can you explain the terminology

Most often asked terminology:

 Length – up and down

 Width – across side to side

Casing – at the top edge of the valance or curtains is a long channel that holds a curtain rod – sometimes called a rod pocket.

Header – approximately 1″ of fabric above the casing – also referred to as a ruffle.

 Lining – lining fabric is added to the back of the curtain or valance to add extra body, helps protect from fading and also hides the side and hem seems.  

Cafe Curtains or Tiers  – refers to a curtains that is hung partway down the window. This type of curtain allows for light to come into the room while adding privacy.
